So, after much pain, argument and unnecessary faffing from various parties, it finally looks like I'll be moving out sometime soon to my own 'executive residence'. Off to pastures new in the glorious garden city of the North West, Runcorn. Contracts have been exchanged (amazingly), sofas examined, broadband availability checked. Just have to start saving up pretty rapidly to afford some furniture to put in the place. Still, that's probably unlikely to happen anytime before Christmas on my estimates. The builder reckons late November/early December as a move-in date - I think that's possibly being a little too optimistic, at least judging by the progress on the place last time I looked.
